1995 Volvo 855 T5R ~ The original engine had 242,900 miles on  it.  Low engine oil and high RPM's took it's toll.  The new engine is a low mileage (appx 28,500 miles on it.) 1996 T5 engine.  This is basically the same configuration as the previous engine, but without the EGR valve.  Below is a list of the modifications done to the engine, suspension and interior of the car.







  Engine and Transmission ~

  • Custom mapped MTE ECU
  • Mitsubishi TDO4-18T angle flange turbo upgrade
  • Custom 3" Stainless steel Downpipe, to 2 1/2" cat-back
  • IPD/TME 2 1/2" cat back exhaust w/ DynaFlow muffler
  • 94 intake plumbing
  • Cold air intake in air dam
  • IPD upper torque mount bushing
  • K & N Air Filter Element
  • Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil.
  • Converted from  AW 52 automatic transmission to the M56H manual transmission with factory T-5R Walnut shift knob and suede boot, as delivered in Europe and Canada
  • Aquamist water injection system







  Suspension & brakes ~


  • Bilsteins front and rear
  • Front IPD sway bar (rear is still stock)
  • Front brakes; Porsche 993 4 piston brake calipers w/ 13" x 1.25" Volvo rotors
  • Rear brakes; 2004 S60R/ Brembo 4 piston caliper w/13" x 1.25" Volvo rotors
  • Stainless steel braided brake lines
  • 18"x 8" "Pegasus" powder coated black chrome with Kuhmo Ecsta 225/40/18 (23 1/2" overall height)
  • Eibach springs all four corners
  • Custom strut tower bar







  Miscellaneous upgrades ~


  • Stock horns removed for increased air flow, 3 trumpet air horns installed under front fender well.
  • Side marker lights (not factory on a 95 T5R) wired to be parking lamps and turn signals which alternate with the front and rear signals.
  • Custom Grille and spoiler mesh.
  • Windshield squirter's off a later model with spray pattern instead of stream.
  • Tailgate trim, trim color and not body color like originally on a T5R.
  • European 155 mph speedometer, US speedo is only 140mph
  • Headlight wipers removed.
  • 2000 V70R headliner and associated gray trim (grab handles, visors , vanity lights, sunroof slider and trim moulding).
  • 2000 V70R sunroof assembly with one touch opening. ('95 cars did not have this feature.)
  • Motorola Razr power supply wired into center console
  • De-badged (how could you not know it's a Volvo!)
